About Us

Smarter Home Systems was formed in 2017 by Louis and Katie Harbison. After many years of working in the home improvement sector Louis decided to bring all of the knowledge and experience gained into his own business. This experience was hard earned by actually fitting windows, doors and conservatories before making the jump into a sales role which Louis excelled at for several well-known home improvement businesses throughout the Bournemouth and Poole area.

Initially the Smarter Home Systems office was very small in Bournemouth town centre but very quickly this proved inadequate as the business saw immediate success and growth - new premises were required. These were found in Winton and the expansion plan also saw Katie join the business full time as a Director and to lead the admin side of things.

It's Time to Smarten Up

New Office and Showroom Within the space of a year this office also proved too small for the growth of Smarter Home. A decision was made to take on a double office next door which could therefore double up as a showroom with some doors and windows on display.

Family Run Business Smarter Home has always been a family run business with Louis and Katie at the heart of everything. Louis' mum Debi Harbison has also been involved and brought many years of business acumen with her to help the company survive during some recent tough times with Covid and lockdown.

Business Ethos From the very beginning the business has been run with emphasis on attention to detail, pride in the work and listening to clients being our main aims. We attempt every time to bring our customers vision to life and deliver outstanding results.
