Roof Maintenance - Christchurch
In January 2022 Smarter Home received an enquiry through our website from a Mr H from Christchurch. His waterside property in Christchurch was in an incredible location but the proximity to the elements had the result off seriously affecting his roof which was blighted by moss, algae and lichen.
We visited to do our usual site survey before quoting for these works - and when on site both neighbours either side also suggested that their similar issues could be solved with at the same time. A quotation was submitted and duly accepted as our pricing is extremely fair. A start date for commencement of works was agreed for early February.
Initially all 3 properties were thoroughly checked for tile damage before high pressure jetting removal of all contaminants. Cleaning of stubborn areas is completed by hand scrubbing but is an essential part of the work to completely eradicate the algae. Once the tiles were free of these contaminants a thorough application of the industry leading ProPerla protective coating was applied which will preserve the status of these roofs for many years to come - even in a location prone to being open to this kind of contamination.
All three owners were very pleased with the outcome of the work and the properties resembled again how they were intended to.
